Communications — details you give when you call, email, message us on WhatsApp, or correspond about a quote or job.
Website usage (if you accept cookies) — anonymised page views and general traffic information via our analytics provider (see Cookies below). We do not use this to identify you personally.
Technical data — standard server and security logs held by our hosting provider when you visit the site (for example IP address, browser type and request time), mainly to keep the site secure and reliable.

We do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health information) through this website.

Respond to quote requests and enquiries about painting work
Arrange site visits, provide written quotes and deliver our services
Contact you about your project (by phone, email or WhatsApp where you have provided those details)

Quote form and email

When you submit our online quote form, your details are sent securely to our systems and forwarded by email using Resend so our team can reply. You must agree to this privacy policy and our terms before submitting. We do not sell your data to marketing lists or third-party advertisers.

If you prefer not to use the form, you can contact us directly by phone or email using the details on our contact page.

Cookies and analytics

When you first visit, we show a cookie notice. You can choose Accept or Decline for analytics. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage) so we do not ask on every page.

Essential use of the site

You can use most of the website without accepting analytics. We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies on this site.

Analytics (optional)

If you accept, we load a privacy-oriented analytics script from https://dotwallstats.co.uk/js/script.js (operated by Dotwall) to understand how many people visit the site and which pages are viewed. It is configured for our domain and is intended to avoid cross-site advertising profiles. You can decline and still browse normally.

To withdraw consent later, clear site data for as-painting.co.uk in your browser settings, or decline again after clearing the stored preference key.

Other third-party services on the site

Some pages use services that may process data when you interact with them:

YouTube — we display videos from our YouTube channel (including embedded players using youtube-nocookie.com where applicable). YouTube may set cookies if you play a video; their privacy policy applies to that interaction.
Maps — area pages use Leaflet with map tiles from OpenStreetMap contributors to show town locations. Loading a map may send your IP address to the tile provider.
Google reviews — we show selected customer reviews from publicly available Google Business Profile information stored on our site. We do not receive your Google account details through this display.
Social links — links to Facebook, Instagram and similar platforms open third-party sites with their own privacy policies.
Hosting — the site is hosted on Netlify, which processes technical logs and form submissions on our behalf.

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry and quote details for as long as needed to deal with your request, provide services, handle any follow-up or warranty matters, and comply with legal or accounting requirements. If you ask us to delete your data and we have no overriding reason to keep it, we will do so within a reasonable period.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may have the right to:

Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
