Site visit & quotation policy
How we quote remotely and when a paid domestic site visit or commercial survey may apply. Last updated: 14 September 2026.
At A.S PAINTING CONTRACTORS GROUP LTD, we aim to provide accurate and professional quotations based on the individual requirements of each project.
Where sufficient photographs, measurements and project information can be provided remotely, we may be able to provide an initial estimate without the need for a site visit.
Where an on-site assessment is required to prepare an accurate quotation, a site visit or survey fee may apply.
Domestic site visit & quotation
Where a domestic project requires an on-site assessment, measurement or detailed inspection, a site visit fee of £60 + VAT may apply.
This may include:
- Travel time and fuel costs
- Assessment of the areas requiring work
- Measurements where required
- Review of surface condition and preparation requirements
- Discussion of finishes and specifications
- Preparation of a written quotation
Where a site visit fee applies, an invoice will be issued in advance.
The invoice must be paid in full before the appointment is confirmed and before A.S PAINTING CONTRACTORS GROUP LTD attends the property.
If the quoted works are subsequently awarded to A.S PAINTING CONTRACTORS GROUP LTD, the full site visit fee will be credited against the agreed contract value.
Commercial site survey & quotation
Where a commercial project requires an on-site inspection, measurements, access assessment, coating specification or detailed quotation, a commercial site survey fee of £100 + VAT may apply.
This may include:
- Travel time and fuel costs
- Site inspection and measurements
- Assessment of existing surfaces and coatings
- Preparation requirements
- Access and equipment requirements
- Discussion of the required specification
- Preparation of a detailed quotation
Where a commercial survey fee applies, an invoice will be issued in advance.
The invoice must be paid in full before the appointment is confirmed and before A.S PAINTING CONTRACTORS GROUP LTD attends site.
If the quoted works are subsequently awarded to A.S PAINTING CONTRACTORS GROUP LTD, the full commercial survey fee will be credited against the agreed contract value.
For larger, specialist or technically complex projects requiring extensive surveying, specification work or multiple visits, an alternative survey fee may be agreed in advance.
Important
Any paid site visit or survey fee is fully credited against the agreed contract value if the customer proceeds with A.S PAINTING CONTRACTORS GROUP LTD.
