Commercial Leicestershire External steel stairs · Leicestershire

A tired external steel staircase brought back from moss, grime and worn paint — cleaned, prepped and painted black, with high-visibility anti-slip nosings on every step.

What we did

External fire escapes and access stairs take constant weather: moss on the treads, dirt in the chequer plate and paint wearing through to bare metal. On this commercial building we restored a two-flight steel staircase, its landings and handrails from grimy and slippery to clean, protected and safe to use.

The stairs and the ground around them were cleaned back first, then the steelwork was prepped so the new coating would bond properly. Stringers, treads, balustrades and wall handrails were painted in a durable black metal finish, and yellow and black anti-slip nosings were fitted to the step edges so every tread stands out clearly.

If your building has external staircases, fire escapes, railings or other steelwork that needs cleaning, painting or safety markings, get in touch for a quote — we agree a fixed price before we start.
